Ancestors of Gary Peck

Gary and Jocelyn Peck went to Locke, Cayuga, New York to look for the grave of Abijah Peck, their ancestor. They had information that he was buried in the Monaghan Cemetery at 854 Tollgate Hill Rd, Locke, NY 13092. After having little success, they stopped at a yard sale to ask for information. The owner of the home knew the exact location of the cemetery because it was on his property. He informed them that it was in a grove of trees in the middle of a soy bean field that was rented to a Mennonite family. The owner said he had never seen the name of Peck in the old cemetery, but they were welcome to search.

The brush in the grove was high and the stones were almost impossible to see but Jocelyn found Abijah's headstone as she was walking across the cemetery. Both she and Gary were thrilled to find Abijah's marker.
