Joy Peck Did you see the photo of all the eggs!? I took that when I was in China. It still amazes me.
February 19 at 12:31pm

Joy Peck I took the video found at the "5:00 pm" time slot in Escholzmatt, Luzern, Switzerland in the dairy of the birth home of Catharina Zemp (1837 1911), the second wife of John Kunz II. The current owner is Robert Zemp. He is the grandson of Catharina Zemp's sister, Maria Zemp. Robert and his family were so hospitable and good to us when we visited.

Gene Knutti Remember the old green Chevy Apache pickup truck with Uncle Alvin delivering eggs to my Grandparents home and getting a stick of Wrigley's Juicy Fruit gum!!
February 19 at 11:08pm

Dianne Rasi-Koskinen So enjoyable Joy!
February 20 at 1:48am

Joy Peck Does anyone have a photo of my Grandpa's old green truck?
February 20 at 6:11am

Karen Hancock I looked but no green truck photo! Lol Great job....
February 20 at 6:46am

Joy Peck Gene, I raise chickens and even have been known to deliver them on occasion. I need to add the Juicy Fruit Gum to my experience. That would be an additional sweet reminder of my old Grandpa. Juicy Fruit was always my favorite. I didn't realize I learned it from Grandpa. Thanks for your sweet memory.
February 20 at 6:54am

Dwight Kunz I just remember the blue Studebaker truck. Peddled eggs in Montpelier with Grandpa one morning in it as a young man. A very memorable experience.
February 20 at 6:55am

Joy Peck Dwight, it's because you are so much OLDER than Gene and I. We missed the Studebaker. But the green truck was around and fun for us babies.

Tiffany Feger what's the year for your story? how are they related to you? is the farm still in your family? I think you should have an "about me/us" page. are you going to contact people to send them how to do something similar? or are you going to add more "day-in-the-life" stories to this website? i did like the story. and that they gathered for every meal including coming home from school to eat. and that breakfast was hearty!
